Privacy policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OFFROAD SKYLINE INC, trading as OFFROAD SKYLINE ("we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit www.offroadskyline.com, purchase products, request vehicle-fitment advice, apply to become a dealer, or contact our team. Our online store is powered by Shopify. We are responsible for the personal information we process for our own business purposes.
1. Information we collect
- Contact and account information: your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, and account preferences that you provide.
- Orders and transactions: products viewed, saved, added to your cart or ordered; order history; delivery, return and warranty information; and payment status and transaction records. Payment providers process the payment details you submit at checkout. Please do not send full payment-card details or passwords through email or chat.
- Vehicle and installation information: the make, model, model year, engine, configuration, existing modifications, installation photos and other details you choose to provide when asking about compatibility, quotations, installation or after-sales support. Vehicle information can be personal information when linked to you. Please remove unrelated personal details from photographs before sending them.
- Dealer enquiries: your business name, contact person's details, country or region, website and the business information you submit in an application.
- Communications: messages and attachments you send through our contact forms, customer-support chat, email or WhatsApp.
- Device and browsing information: IP address, browser and device identifiers, pages visited, interactions, approximate location derived from an IP address, and cookie or similar technology identifiers.
We receive information directly from you, automatically when you use the store, and from service providers such as Shopify, payment processors, delivery providers and the communication services you use to contact us.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate the store and customer accounts; process payments and orders; arrange delivery; provide vehicle-fitment advice and quotations; assess dealer enquiries; respond to installation, return and warranty requests; communicate about your orders; understand and improve the shopping experience; prevent fraud and misuse; and comply with legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
We may also use information for marketing and personalised advertising, subject to your choices and applicable law. Where required, we request consent. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in the message or by contacting us. Order and service messages may still be sent when necessary.
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on fulfilling a contract or taking steps at your request before a contract, legitimate interests such as operating and securing our business where these do not override your rights, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required.
3. Who receives information
We share relevant information with Shopify and service providers supporting store hosting, payment processing, delivery, customer support, technical support, analytics and business administration. Information may also be shared with our affiliated teams where needed to fulfil an order or provide technical assistance, with professional advisers, when you request or authorise a disclosure, or when required to comply with law, protect rights or address a business transfer.
Advertising and analytics services may receive identifiers, browsing activity and transaction-related information for personalisation and measurement. Some of these disclosures can be considered a "sale", "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under US state privacy laws. Where applicable, you can opt out through Your Privacy Choices.
4. Shopify and enhanced services
Shopify hosts our store and processes information to provide and improve its services. Our store uses Shopify Network Intelligence. This enables Shopify to use information about interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify to support enhanced services, including personalisation and advertising. For processing where Shopify acts as a controller, Shopify is responsible for responding to applicable privacy-rights requests. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal for more information and available choices.
5. Cookies and your choices
Cookies and similar technologies support essential functions such as the shopping cart, checkout, security and preferences. Other technologies can support analytics and marketing. Where the store displays a cookie banner or preferences control, you can use it to manage the optional categories. You can also manage cookies through your browser; blocking essential cookies may affect store functions. Shopify's Cookie Policy explains technologies used by its platform.
Where applicable, Shopify's privacy controls recognise Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing for the browser and device, and may apply the choice to an associated Shopify account. Other "Do Not Track" signals may not be recognised. The Your Privacy Choices page provides the store's data-sharing controls where available.
6. Chat, WhatsApp and external links
If you choose to use WhatsApp or follow a social-media, video or other external link, the relevant provider processes information under its own privacy policy. We process the messages you send us to answer your enquiry and provide support. Avoid including identification documents or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request. This policy covers our website and related customer communications; a separate notice may apply to another application or service.
7. Retention, security and international processing
We retain information for as long as necessary for the purposes described here, including completing orders, providing support, maintaining accounts, meeting tax and other legal requirements, resolving disputes and enforcing agreements. Retention depends on the information and the reason it is held. Deletion requests may be subject to these requirements.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Information may be stored or processed outside your country, including in the United States and locations where Shopify, our support teams or service providers operate. Where legally required for transfers from the EEA or UK, appropriate safeguards such as recognised contractual clauses or an adequacy decision apply. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access to, a copy of, correction or deletion of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully carried out. Some rights have exceptions, including information we must retain by law.
Contact contact@offroadskyline.com to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorised agent's authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you disagree with a decision, you may contact us to appeal where that right applies. You may also complain to your local privacy regulator, including an EEA or UK data-protection authority where applicable.
9. Children
Our products and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information or knowingly sell or share information about anyone under 16. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information can contact us to request deletion.
10. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when our services or practices change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice where required by law.
